This time next week…
I will be in VEGAS!!! Ooooh, ahhhhh! I have a lot of planning to do. It so hard for a responsible loving teacher to take 4 days in a row off from school. Luckily, I only have to plan for 3 days b/c the kids have a field trip on Thursday. I hate to give them busy work, but I hate to give them a grade for any assignments that I am not not their to monitor, teacher, whatever. I know some of you think it is the control freak in me, but, yeah..you’re right…I’m a control freak. I have to be around to control the situation even when my kids learning or testing. Four more days this week! Oh, did I mention the white fluffy stuff that fell from the sky all day today? Yeah, when is Spring? The mountain closes next weekend, so I’m gonna need it to warm up, quickly. Please. : )

Oh I’m so jealous! My friend and I had a Vegas trip all planned out for our spring break…then?? We realized we did not have the same weeks off…sucks!! I hope you have a TON of FUN!!
As for the no grades if your not there to teach them..I am the same exact way. To me this isn’t about control…it is just being fair. I mean seriously we all know how substitutes work…hell I’ve been there myself…they will use any means necessary to get the kids to pay attention. So how do you really know things are being taught?
I can’t believe it is STILL snow there..ok well yeah I can! But seriously..you guys definitely deserve NICE WARM WEATHER! At least here now when it snows it doesn’t stick!

Hope it is a fun trip! I totally understand the control freakness on grades. You never know what your sub is going to be like! I’ve had some VERY crappy ones!
