I can’t believe…or can I?
March 6, 2008I was just thinking about how long I have been in Colorado. Do you realize it has been 6 months? Do you realize it has only been 6 months? I ask both of these questions. Some days I feel like I just left Memphis and others days it seems like so long ago that I lived there. I miss everyone…family, friends. I miss having so much so close…shopping, restaurants, airport. I don’t miss the traffic. I don’t miss the attitudes of many of the residents. I don’t miss the crowds of people every where you go. I like this small town. It’s nice to have a community. Some days it feels like we’ve been in school for soooo long and other days, I can’t believe that it’s almost over. Our last day is June 6th, so I have 3 months left. A busy three months. Spring Break is in March. My Vegas trip is in April. May will be filled with finishing up the year and helping the kids get ready for high school. Then, what? I have a class to take over the summer, but that doesn’t start until July. I’m thinking about teaching a Summer School course for a week or so. I’d like to travel, make some extra money, and relax. Not sure how all of that will work out for me. I guess we have to wait and see.
I was looking over some pictures and found this one from St. Paddy’s Day last year.
It’s amazing how fast time can go by and how quickly things change. My hair is much longer. KT and Sam are married. Virginia and Ryan were with us this night…they are now engaged. I have a niece. I moved 1200 miles away from my hometown. My cousin has another little boy. (that I can’t wait to meet in a few weeks!) I’ve visited DIA more times than I ever dreamed I would. I learned to snowboard. I’m teaching ALGEBRA!!! I like darker beers now. I only drink red wines. Molly is no longer an outdoor cat. I could keep rambling, but I’ll save your eyes. I’m not sure what the next year will bring or take. I just have to continue my adventure.
